Israel Protests
As Noam sought refuge with her parents in a bomb shelter, she told me to write about the hostages.
My Millennial peers have endured September 11, 2001, an economic crash, global pandemic, and countless wars. Along with successive generations, we matured at a time of rapid digitization that has resulted in dehumanization and intense loneliness. If our era of existence proves one contention, it is the simple principle that a bulk of information does not necessitate an abundance of wisdom.
Following October 7, 2023, I did not seek out American academics, professional protesters, or media magnates. Instead, I searched for truth over tribalism. On that journey, I connected with an Israeli woman, Noam, around my age who conveyed the horror as it unfolded. She predicted that the world would obscure, deny, and forget the hostages. She said that the tyranny of the majority would turn their malevolence upon Israel and the war for hearts and minds would rage between the forces of good and evil. As Noam sought refuge with her parents in a bomb shelter, she told me to write about the hostages. To tell the world that this war was not started by the United States and Israel, but we must possess the intestinal fortitude to finish it.
It is my profound hope that my generation transcends the narrow, Marxist view of moral relativism in favor of moral clarity. Our enemies seek to divide us against each other, and so far, they have succeeded. May we untie ourselves from their wicked web of lies intended to destroy us. Until we understand that massive amounts of data do not translate into momentous decency, we will continue to react to each situation in anger rather than proactively write our own story as we wish it to be told to future Americans and free peoples around the world.
I implore the leaders of the West, and all souls who remain free, to fight on to total victory against the forces of totalitarian treachery here at home and internationally.
It is my profound expectation that the voice of Noam, a true victim of terror, will outlast the shrieks of spoiled children and tenured teachers who know nothing from struggle. Not only because they do not champion justice in our land, but because they cannot find the light of truth within themselves.
